This study dealt with the process of Cnstructing tests and consisted of construct a criterion reference-achievemnt educational test for the first year of social sciences in inference statistics, where this study aimed to identify the steps of building test tests reference and verify the availability of test characteristics (difficulty and discrimination) as well as semetric characteristics, and determine the degree of the appropriate cutting of the level of mastering of first year students social sciences for the concepts of inference statistics. The importance of studying lies in introducing this type of test and encouraging its use in university education. In his study, the researcher relied on the descriptive analytical curriculum, while the study community was first-year social science students at Mohammed Lamin Dabaghin- setif University, and the sample size was equal to 320 students selected in a random and simple manner.
