This research aimed at developing an Augmented Reality environment for Geographical Phenomena to improve preparatory students’ spatial visualization skills and achievement. In order to achieve it, the researcher has developed the following tools: a questionnaire to identify spatial visualization skills, a questionnaire to identify the criteria of developing an Augmented Reality environment for Geographical Phenomena, a spatial visualization skills’ test, a geography achievement test and an Augmented Reality environment for geographical phenomena. The research sample was a random sample of 30 students of the first grade of preparatory stage in the academic year 2018/ 2019 at Damietta Governorate. The researcher used the descriptive approach, experimental approach. The researcher also followed one group pre-posttest study to investigate the effectiveness of an Augmented Reality environment for geographical phenomena to improve preparatory students’ spatial visualization skills and achievement. The research results were: there was a statistically significant difference at the level ≤ 0.05 between the mean scores of the research sample students’ in the pre and post application of both the geography achievement test and the spatial visualization skills’ test in the favor of the post application, the effectiveness of an Augmented Reality environment for geographical phenomena to improve preparatory students’ spatial visualization skills and achievement.
