The study aimed to examine the relationship between emotional stability level and parental styles among undergraduate sample from faculty of educational sciences, at the World Islamic Sciences University - Amman. The study sample consisted of (184) students (38 male, 146 female), selected randomly. To achieve the study aims, the parental styles scale was developed by (Badareen and Ghaeth, 2013), and emotional stability scale was prepared by the researcher. The results of the study showed a low level of emotional stability among students, and negative relationship between parental styles (permissive, authoritarian) and emotional stability but not significant at (0.01 = α). The results also indicated a statistically significant effect of emotional stability according to the gender due to male and family size due to large families. Nevertheless, no statistically significant differences were found in emotional stability due to birth order. (Published abstract)
