This study aimed to determine the degree of the comprehensive quality standards availability in the Arabic language textbook for the twelfth grade in the state of Kuwait from teachers and heads of departments' perspective; and to reveal the significant differences in their evaluation results of the textbook according to the following variables: gender, job title, academic qualification and years of experience. To achieve the two objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach, and prepared a questionnaire, which consisted of (60) items divided into six domains. The questionnaire was applied to (132) teachers and heads of departments of Arabic language in the secondary schools in Hawalli educational area. The results of the study revealed that the textbook meets the comprehensive quality standards at a medium overall level with a relative weight percentage of (64.2%). The order of the study areas according to their achievement of the comprehensive quality standards was as follows: the book’s technical editing, the language used in the book, the evaluation activities, the introduction, the objectives of the book and lastly, the book’s content. The results also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences between the means of the participants’ grades due to their gender, job title and academic qualification, while differences were found to be statistically significant due to the years of experience and for those with years of experience (10 years and more). The researcher recommended the development of the textbook in the areas identified by the study; which showed that it did not achieve the comprehensive quality standards at the desired level.
