This study aimed to identify the motivation level of special education teachers towards training programs provided by the Ministry of Education in Kuwait in the light of specialization, sex, years of experience, and qualification variables. It solicited to answer the following questions: 1) What is the level of motivation among special education teachers towards the training programs?, and 2) Are there statistically significant differences at α≤0.05 in motivation level in special education teachers towards the level of training programs from their point of view due to the variables of sex, qualification, experience and specialization? The study sample consisted of 287 teachers of special education from special education schools in Kuwait. To achieve the goal of this study, the researcher developed a questionnaire to measure the level of motivation of teachers in special education schools towards training programs provided to them by the Ministry of Education in Kuwait. A team of professors from Al al-Bayt University, Kuwait University and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training validated the instrument. The results showed that the average total degree of motivation among teachers in special education schools in Kuwait was high. The results also showed statistically significant differences for the variables of sex and experience. It also showed statistically significant differences concerning the variables of qualification and specialization. In light of the findings of the study, a set of recommendations were presented, including establishing a separate department to take care of special education teachers, and giving them financial incentives to increase their motivation when they take training courses.
