أثر استخدام السبُّورة التفاعُليَّة في القُدرة على حل المسألة الرياضية والاتجاهات نحو الرياضيات لدى طلبة الصف الثامن الأساسي في سلطنة عُمان

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of using smart board on the ability of solving mathematical problem and attitudes towards mathematics of eight grade students in Oman. To achieve this purpose, a study sample of 60 students was selected from the grade eight. This sample was divided into two groups of 30 students each. One group was randomly chosen to be the experimental group, the other was the control group. One unit, (Geometry), from mathematics textbook for eight grade of the academic year 2014/2015 was used as the learning material for the study. Experimental group was taught the material using smart board, while the control group was taught the same material using the traditional method. Two instruments were used in the study; a test of the ability of solving mathematical problems and a measurement of students' attitudes towards mathematics. Data analysis procedures using appropriate (t- test) for independent samples revealed that: 1) There was a significant difference a=0.05 between experimental group and control group means on post-test of the ability of solving mathematical problem and in favor of the experimental group. 2) There was a significant difference a=0.05 between experimental group and control group means on post-measurement of students’ attitudes towards mathematics and in favor of the experimental group.
