This study investigates the role of educational superintendence is raising the professional, proficiency of teachers in Arabic secondary schools in Abashe State. It aims at identifying the state of educational superintendants follow in fulfilling their work, the problems that hinder the performance of the superintendant, and managerial approaches applied in the Chadian Educational Directorate and in Arabic Schools. The study concludes to many findings, the most important. of which are the following: 1) Appointment of educational superintendants and headmasters are carried out through scientific criteria. 2) Criteria of appointing superintendants are based on personality, emotions, and knowledge. 3) School management in Chad is characterized with carelessness and negligence of good conduct due to absence of headmasters and insistence of Arabic Schools’ founders to run their own schools. Finally, the researcher recommends the following: 1) Necessity of establishing departments for educational superintendence and educational management in educational institutes and colleges in Chad. 2) Necessity of continual training for educational .superintendants,- headmasters, and teachers. 3) Educational managements should follow modem techniques of management aiming to achieve total quality.
