هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على علاقة الذكاء الوجداني بالقدرات العقلية والتحصيل الأكاديمي لدى الطلبة الموهوبين. تم استخدام مقياس الذكاء الوجداني، بالإضافة إلى استخدام درجة اختبار التحصيل الدراسي للتخصصات العلمية ودرجة اختبار القدرات العقلية العامة الصادرين من قبل هيئة تقويم التعليم والتدريب (المركز الوطني للقياس). واشتملت عينة الدراسة على (49) طالبا وطالبة في الصف الثالث الثانوي ممن صنفوا موهوبين واجتازوا مقياس موهبة للقدرات العقلية للمشاركة في الدراسة. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن مستوى الذكاء الوجداني لدى الموهوبين كان مرتفع بدرجة كبيرة، كما أنه توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى الذكاء الوجداني وأبعاده الفرعية لدى الطلبة الموهوبين ولصالح الإناث. كما أظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة موجبة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين مستوى الذكاء الوجداني والقدرات العقلية العامة لدى الطلبة الموهوبين ماعدا بعد إدارة الانفعالات. وأخيرا أشارت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة موجبة دالة إحصائيا بين مستوى الذكاء الوجداني والتحصيل الأكاديمي لدى الموهوبين ماعدا بعدي إدارة الانفعالات والتواصل الاجتماعي. The current study aimed to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and mental abilities and academic achievement of gifted students. To achieve the objectives of the study, the emotional intelligence scale was applied. Also, the score of academic achievement for scientific specialties and the score of general mental abilities, which were issued by Education and Training Evaluation Commission (National Centre for Assessment) were used. The study sample included a (49) male and female gifted students in the third grade of secondary school who were classified as gifted and passed the Mawhiba Mental Abilities Scale to participate in the study. The results indicated that the emotional intelligence of the gifted students was very high, and there were statistically significant differences on emotional intelligence due to gender in favor to females. Also, the results indicated a positive statistically significance relationship between the emotional intelligence and the general mental abilities except the dimension of emotions management. In addition, the results indicated that were positive statistically significance relationship between the emotional intelligence and the academic achievement except the dimensions of emotions management and social contact.
