هدف البحث إلى التعرف على الأدوار التربوية للأسرة المصرية في ضوء متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة. واستخدم المنهج الوصفي لملائمته لتحقيق أهداف البحث، معتمدا على الاستبانة لجمع المعلومات من أفراد عينة البحث التي تكونت من (150) عضو هيئة تدريس ببعض الجامعات المصرية وبعض موجهي التربية الاجتماعية بإدارة شبين التعليمية. وتوصل البحث إلى بعض النتائج، هي: هناك بعض الأدوار الإيجابية للأسرة المصرية في ضوء مجتمع المعرفة منها: الحفاظ على قيم المجتمع وتماسكه، تساعد الأسرة المصرية أبنائها على تكوين هوية واضحة وراسخة، هناك حرص من الأسرة المصرية في توجيه أبنائهم نحو التخصصات المعرفية التي تتناسب ومجتمع المعرفة. إلا أن هناك بعض أوجه القصور في تلك الأدوار منها: هناك قصورا في دور الأسرة المصرية فـي الحفاظ على الهوية الثقافية وقد يعود ذلك للانفتاح التكنولوجي والرقمي الذي أحدثته وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، كما أن هناك ضعف في عملية التواصل بين الأسرة والمدرسة والمتمثل في ضعف فعالية مجلس الأمناء والآباء والمعلمين كحلقة وصل وتواصل واتصال بين المدرسة والأسرة بالقدر الذي يمكنها من القيام بأدوارها التربوية في ضوء متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة. The aim of the research is to identify the educational roles of the Egyptian family in light of the requirements of the knowledge society. The descriptive approach was used for its suitability to achieve the objectives of the research, relying on a questionnaire to collect information from members of the research sample, including university professors and some social education directors. The study sample consisted of (150) faculty members in some Egyptian universities and some social education directors in the Shebin Educational Administration. The research reached some results: There are some positive roles for the Egyptian family in the light of the knowledge society, including: preserving the values and cohesion of the community. However, there are some shortcomings in these roles, including: There is a shortcoming in the role of the Egyptian family in preserving cultural identity, which may be due to the technological and digital openness brought about by social media. There is also a weakness in the process of communication between the family and the school, which is represented in the weakness of the effectiveness of the board of trustees, parents and teachers as a link and communication and communication between the school and the family to the extent that it can carry out its educational roles in light of the requirements of the knowledge society.
