يهدف البحث إلى معرفة (أثر استخدام طريقة حل المشكلات في تنمية مفهوم الذات لدى طلاب كلية الإمام الأعظم في مادة علوم القرآن). استعملت الباحثة التصميم التجريبي ذو المجموعتين المتكافئتين أحداهما تجريبية والأخرى ضابطة. تكونت عينة البحث من (48) طالبا من طلاب الصف الأول، كلية الإمام الأعظم بواقع (25) طالبا في المجموعة التجريبية التي مثلت شعبة (أ) و (23) طالباً في المجموعة الضابطة التي مثلت شعبـة (ب). استخدمت الباحثة مقياساً جاهزاً لقياس مفهوم الذات مكونا من (52) فقرة اتسم بالصدق والثبات، تم معالجة البيانات إحصائيا باستعمال الاختبار التائي لعينتين مستقلتين ومعادلة كوردر ريتشاردسون 20. أما النتائج التي توصل إليها البحث فكان منها: وجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين مجموعتي البحث (التجريبية والضابطة) فيما يتعلق بالاختبار القبلي والبعدي في تنمية مفهوم الذات. وفي ضوء نتائج البحث، قدمت الباحثة مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات كان من أبرز التوصيات: ضرورة ادخال طريقة حل المشكلات ضمن الدورات التدريبية التي يقوم بها مركز طرائق التدريس في جامعة الموصل لكي يطلع عليها تدريسيو الجامعة بكافة الاختصاصات ليتم توظيفها في المجال التدريسي. أما المقترحات فكان منها إجراء دراسة عن أثر استخدام طريقة حل المشكلات في اكتساب المفاهيم الإسلامية لدى طالبات الصف الأول المتوسط والاحتفاظ بها. This research aims at Knowing the effect of using solving problems method in developing the notion of ''self'' in students of AL – Imamul Atham college in Quranic Sciences Subject. The researcher used the experimental model for two equal groups of the students. The first group was experimental and the other was the standard one to check the results. The students which were used for the test were (48) students in the first class. Group (A) was (25) students and group (B) was (23) students. It was characterized by consistency and accuracy. The data were statistically analyzed by using T-test and R-chardson equation for the tow independent group. The results showed that there is a statistical difference between the results of the two-group conserving the use of the first and the second tests in developing the notion of ''self''. According to the results. the researcher presented some recommendations and suggestion. The most outstanding recommendation was the necessity for including the method of solving problems in the training courses in teaching methods Centre at Mosul university. the purpose for this is to acquainted with by all the lectures of different fields to by utilized in the instruction field. Concerning the suggestions it was suggested to carry out a study about the effect of using solving problems method in acquiring Islamic notions by student in the first class at intermediate schools.
