ظهرت الحاجة إلى الاهتمام بالمنتج التعليمي في جمهورية مصر العربية وخصوصا بعد معاناة خريجي التعليم الجامعي من مواطن ضعف وخلل عديدة كتركيزهم على الحصول على شهادة للتعيين مستقبلا أكثر من التفوق العلمي، وتخريج عدد هائل من الطلاب المثقلين بكم معرفي هائل لكن جاهلين بكيفية توظيف هذه المعارف العلمية عند اقتحام عالم الشغل. ومن هنا هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تعرف خبرات نماذج بعض الجامعات في هولندا وأستراليا في تطبيق برامج التميز الأكاديمي كنموذج تنافسي للبرامج الأكاديمية التي أثبتت جدارتها على الساحة التعليمية، وتعرف أوجه الشبه والاختلاف بين تلك النماذج وتحليلها وتفسيرها للإفادة منها في تحسين مخرجات التعليم الجامعي المصري. وفي ضوء طبيعة مشكلة الدراسة وأهدافها اتبعت الباحثة المنهج المقارن. واقتصرت الدراسة على تناول الأهداف، وشروط القبول والالتحاق، والمناهج الدراسية، والتقييم حيث تمثل تلك المحاور أبرز الممارسات التعليمية في برامج التميز الأكاديمي. وتوصلت إلى مجموعة من الإجراءات المقترحة التي يمكن بواسطتها تطبيق برامج التميز الأكاديمي كمدخل لتحسين مخرجات التعليم الجامعي المصري. The need to pay attention to university graduates emerged in Egypt, especially after they suffered from many weaknesses and defects, such as their focus on obtaining a certificate to get a job in the future rather than academic excellence, and graduating a huge number of students burdened with a huge amount of knowledge but ignorant of how to employ it when entering the world of work. Hence, this study aimed to identify the experiences of some universities in the Netherlands and Australia in the application of Honors programs, which are regarded as a competitive model that has proven its worth in the educational arena lately, and also to identify, analyze and interpret the similarities and differences between these models to use them in developing Egyptian University graduates’ capabilities. According to the nature of the study problem and its objectives, the researcher followed the comparative approach. The study was limited to addressing the objectives, admission and enrollment conditions, curricula, and assessment, as these themes represent the most prominent educational practices in Honors programs. And it reached a set of suggested procedures by which Honors programs can be applied as an approach to develop Egyptian University graduates’ capabilities. (Published abstract)
