هدفت الدراسة الحالیة إلى التعرف على مدى أنتشار اضطرابات القلق والاکتئاب لدى عینة من الأطفال والمراهقین ذوي الإعاقة الفكریة البسیطة في مصر. وقد تكون مجتمع الدراسة من (129) طفلاً ومراهقاً من ذوي الإعاقة الفكریة الملتحقین بمدارس التربیة الفكریة بمحافظة الشرقیة -جمهوریة مصر العربیة. تراوحت نسبة الذکاء بین (50-70) وتتراوح أعمارهم ما بین (6 إلى 18) عاماً. ولتحقیق أهداف الدراسة تم تطبیق المنهج الوصفي، وقد تمّ جمع المعلومات اللازمة من خلال تطبیق مقیاس القلق والاکتئاب للأطفال المعاقین فكریاً (رضوان وغبریال 2016). وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن نسبة انتشار اضطرابات القلق والاکتئاب عند الأطفال والمراهقین ذوي الإعاقة الفكریة البسیطة تقدر بــ (25.6%) بمتوسط (52.6) وأنحراف معیاري (1.7). وتبینت النتائج عدم وجود تأثیر دال لمتغیر النوع (ذکر/أنثى) من أفراد العینة في کلاً من القلق والدرجة الكلیة للقلق والاكتئاب، بینما تبین وجود علاقة ارتباطیة إیجابیة دالة بین القلق والاکتئاب والعمر الزمني. وأوصت الدراسة بتقدیم مزید من الدعم النفسي للأطفال المعاقین فكریاً، وکذلك الاهتمام بالصحة النفسیة للطفل والمراهق ذو الإعاقة الفكریة، وتوجه العدید من الجهود نحو الفحص المبكر وقیاس تلك الإضطرابات والتدخل الأکثر إستهادافاً للقلق والاکتئاب. The current study aimed to investigate the prevalence level of anxiety and depression disorders in an Egyptian population of children and adolescents with mild intellectual disabilities (ID). The participants consisted of 129 children and adolescents with mild ID, aged 6-18 years, IQ (50-70). This study adapted a descriptive method. The Anxiety and depression scale for children with intellectual disabilities (Radwan & Gobrial, 2016) was employed in this study. The findings identified a prevalence rate of 25.6% of anxiety and depression disorders in children and adolescents with mild ID (mean= 52.6; SD= 1.7). There were no significant differences between male and female on anxiety and overall score. Though, there was a positive significant correlation between high level of anxiety and depression and age. This study recommended the importance of the mental health of children and adolescents with ID. The efforts should be directed towards the early examination, assessment and early intervention for anxiety and depression among this group. (Published abstract)
