هدف البحث إلى التعرف على اتجاهات أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلبة بجامعة الطائف نحو تطبيق برنامج السنة التحضيرية ومستوى دافعية الطلبة للدراسة، وتعرف الفروق في هذه الاتجاهات ودافعية الدراسة وفقاً للنوع والمسار، وكذلك تعرف العلاقة بين اتجاه الطلبة نحو برنامج السنة التحضيرية والدافع للدراسة، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي (السببي المقارن، الارتباطي)، وطبقت مقاييس لاتجاه أعضاء هيئة التدريس نحو تطبيق برنامج المنة التحضيرية، ولاتجاه الطلبة نحو برنامج السنة التحضيرية، وللدافع للدراسة. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (61) من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بمقرات البنين والبنات، (567) طالباً وطالبة من طلبة السنة التحضيرية، وباستخدام اختبارات؛ مربع كاي لحسن المطابقة، واختبار (ت) للمجموعة الواحدة واختبار تحليل التباين متعدد المتغيرات التابعة، واختبار تحليل التباين الأحادي ومعامل ارتباط بيرسون. قد أسفرت الدراسة عن عدد من النتائج، منها: أن أعضاء هيئة التدريس يرون أن برنامج السنة التحضيرية لا يحقق كثيراً من أهدافه في تنمية القدرات والمهارات المختلفة للطلاب، وليس له مميزات كثيرة، ويتفق معهم الطلاب في ذلك وغالبيتهم يرفضون استمرار البرنامج أو على الأقل يقتصر على بعض المسارات، ومستوى الدافع للدراسة لدى طلبة السنة التحضيرية متوسط، ويوجد فروق بين الطلاب والطالبات في الاتجاه نحو برنامج السنة التحضيرية في اتجاه الطلاب لجميع الأبعاد والدرجة الكلية، وفي الدافع للدراسة في اتجاه الطالبات، ولا توجد فروق بين الطلبة في اتجاههم نحو برنامج السنة التحضيرية وفقاً للمسار في جميع الأبعاد والدرجة الكلية، بينما توجد فروق دالة في الدافع للدراسة وفقاً للمسار، ويوجد ارتباط موجب بين اتجاه طلبة السنة التحضيرية نحو برنامج السنة التحضيرية ودافعيتهم للدراسة، وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة تم تقديم عدد من التوصيات والبحوث المقترحة. The present study aims to know the attitudes of staff and students at the Taif University towards the implementation of the preparatory year program, the level of students motivation to study, knowing the differences in these attitudes according to different branches and sex and the relation between students attitudes towards the implementation of the preparatory year program and motivation to study. To achieve this goal the descriptive approach (Correlative and causal comparative) was used. Scales of staff and students attitudes towards the implementation of the preparatory year program, and motivation to study were applied. The study sample consists of (61) of staff members, (567) males and females’ student of the preparatory year students. Using tests: chi-square goodness of fit test, one sample t-test, Multivariate analysis of variance, one way analysis of variance and Pearson correlation coefficient. The results of study revealed that staff members believe that the preparatory year program does not achieve many of its objectives in development various abilities and skills of students and does not have many features, and students agree with them, the majority of students reject the continuation of the program, or at least limited to some branches, the level of motivation to study of the preparatory year students was an average. There are differences between male and female students in the attitudes towards the preparatory year program in the male direction for all dimensions and total score. In the motivation to study in the direction of the females. There are no differences between students in the attitudes towards the preparatory year program in accordance with the branch in all dimensions and total score while there are significant differences in motivation to study according to the branch. There is a positive correlation between the attitudes of the students about the preparatory year program and motivation to study. In light of these results some recommendations and suggestions were recommended. (Published abstract)
