هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تعرف دور مديري المدارس في التنمية المهنية للمعلمين من وجهة نظر معلمين المرحلة الثانوية في لواء الموقر، باإلضافة لبيان أثر كل من متغيرات الجنس، والمؤهل العلمي، في التنمية المهنية للمعلمين. إذ تم اختيار عينة الدراسة بالطريقة العشوائية وبلغت (92) معلم ومعلمة. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، قامت الباحثة بإعداد استبانة مكونة من (30) فقرة. أظهرت الدراسة أن درجة دور مديري المدارس في التنمية المهنية للمعلمين من وجهة نظر معلمين المرحلة الثانوية في لواء الموقر كانت مرتفعة. كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى إلى متغير الجنس، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير المؤهل العلمي ولصالح الدراسات العليا.كما وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة تعزيز دور المديرين في التنمية المهنية للمعلمين. The paper aimed to identify the role of school principals in the professional development of teachers from the point of view of secondary school teachers in the Muwaqar district, in addition to showing the impact of each of the variables of gender and academic qualification on the professional development of teachers. The study sample was chosen randomly, and it consisted of (92) male and female teachers. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (30) items. The study showed that the degree of the role of school principals in the professional development of teachers from the point of view of secondary school teachers in the Muwaqqar district was high. The results also showed the absence of statistically significant differences due to the variable of sex, and the presence of statistically significant differences due to the variable of academic qualification and in favor of graduate studies. The study also recommended the need to strengthen the role of principals in the professional development of teachers. (Published abstract)
