Digital education leads to providing university education for all in order to achieve equal educational opportunities among those who want to learn according to their capabilities without being bound by the age and distance factor. It also provides the communication between the pillars of the educational process as well as information through their use of digital devices. So, this study aimed at identifying the concept of digital education and the justifications for taking it into the university education. It also aimed at developing some proposals for the development of education at Al-Azhar University in the light of the concept of digital education from the students' point of view. The study utilized the descriptive design and a questionnaire that was applied to (461) male and female students from the colleges of Al-Azhar University in Dakahlia. The results revealed that the use of digital education leads to the development of Al-Azhar university education in the light of students’ vision in several areas, the most important of which are: 1) Lecture Management: the digital education improves student follow-up and supervision, reduces student numbers within the classroom, and allows parents to check their children's levels by looking at their records. 2) Teaching Methods: the digital education helps students learn according to their capabilities through the diversity of teaching methods which are commensurate with their capabilities. It also encourages them to self-learn. 3) Interaction and Communication: the digital education provides communication between students and faculty members continuously. This improves the relationship between the student and the faculty member, and helps the students to meet the faculty member outside the classroom directly. 4) Evaluation and feedback: the digital education contributes to achieving continuous monitoring of the students and the speed of obtaining evaluation results in order to achieve transparency in evaluating student performance. 5) Reports and statistics: the digital education provides a database for the educational system, which provides information to all beneficiaries at the same time and easily.
