The study aimed to knowledge of degree of importance of the leadership roles of heads of academic departments of University of Hail in view of the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030 from the point of view of the Faculty members and the knowledge of the differences of statistical significance about the degree of importance of the leadership roles of the heads of academic departments of University of Hail. The population selected for this study consisted of all Faculty members 935. The total number of participants in this study was 234. The questionnaire was a tool of study. The result showed that the degree of importance of the leadership roles of the heads of academic departments of University of Hail was a very high. There are no statistically significant differences in the degree importance of the leadership roles of the heads of the academic departments in University of Hail attributed to gender and years of service. There are statistically significant differences in the degree about the degree of importance attributed to the difference of scientific rank of Associate Professor and higher. The study recommended that Saudi universities adopt the roles that the study emphasized and provide the necessary means to achieve them. (Published abstract)
