The purpose of this study is to identify the problems of educational counselors and evaluate the managers of their performance as well as to establish the correlation between the problems of counselors and the evaluation of the principals of the schools in which they work for their performance. The Bardini scale (2006) was used to achieve the objectives of this study, while the Schuman scale (2008) was used to measure the level of performance of the educational counselor, and 60 male and female guides participated (25 males, 35 females) and the principals of the same schools in Basra. The results indicated a number of problems faced by the sample of male and female guides and that their performance evaluation was average and there is no correlation between the problems of counselors and managers' evaluation of job performance.
