The introduction included the definition of the research and its importance as it discussed teaching methods and their importance and requirements and the methods used for learning basic skills on the ground movements in the artistic gymnastics as well as the use of the best modern methods in teaching the basic skills of artistic gymnastics. This game consists of a variety of skills and devices used unlike other games and because the teachers of the subject of gymnastic, they do not follow the modern methods and apply it in the field of teaching and practical lessons, but rely only on the diction of the lesson and listen to students only in the learning processes. The modern methods encourage the process of teaching and learning; hence, the importance of research by contributing to the provision of teachers of physical education model of learning that may contribute to the development of the achievement of knowledge and performance skills of the student in the field of sports, as well as the development of learning models. The present study aims at investigating the impact of generative learning strategy on learning the skill of open front roll and open back roll on the floor mat in artistic gymnastics. The researchers used the experimental method to carry out experimental research procedures to suit the nature of the research problem. The research society was chosen deliberately from the students of the second stage in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science / Diyala University, which are 42 students. The random sample was 20 students. The sample of the research on 21/2/2018 and its completion 20/4/2018 on the experimental sample members. The educational syllabus included a 12-week learning module and a 90-minute learning module. It was concluded that using generative learning strategy was effective on learning the skill of open front roll and open back roll on the floor mat in artistic. The use of this strategy may allow discussion and negotiation between the teacher and the learner. The researchers recommend the adoption of the learning method of obstruction by dynamic learning specialists for all skills and individual and collective games. The need to focus teachers during their teaching on the use of the method of learning of the child because of the great impact in the skills of sports communication and positive thinking.
