The current research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a suggested program based upon utilizing the consumed environment materials in developing achievement, creative thinking skills, and the psychomotor performance among the hard of hearing third year preparatory stage pupils. The participants (totaling 24 pupils) were assigned into two groups: an experimental group and a control one. Each group consisted of 12 pupils (males and females) whose hearing ability ranged from 30 to 70 decibels. The groups were homogeneous due to their social and economic conditions. The descriptive analytic and experimental methods were adopted for preparing a list of the program objectives, an inventory for identifying the suitable training needs from the consumed environment materials which can be utilized by the hard of hearing pupils in the art work, a list of the creative thinking skills and a list of the psychomotor performance that could be represented in artistic work. Furthermore, the methods were used for formulating and developing the program objectives and content, identifying the theoretical framework and reviewing the literature and interpreting the results. The current research adopted three instruments for fulfilling the study purpose, namely, an achievement test (including the cognitive objectives levels linked to the psychomotor performance, an observation checklist of the artistic skills and a scoring rubric linked to the psychomotor performance of the hard of hearing students). The experimentation was performed in al-amal school for the deaf students in al-mansura, dakahlia governorate. The data were analyzed by spss (version 20, 2012) which revealed that the program of utilizing the consumed environment materials was effective in developing achievement, creative thinking skills, and the psychomotor performance among the research sample, in addition, there were no significant statistical differences among the pupils due to the gender variable. The recommendations and suggestions of the research were presented for the targeted population. (Published abstract)
