The study aims at knowing the extent to which male and female teachers of physics for intermediate stage in secondary and intermediate schools - the General Directorate of Education - First Karkh are stick to characteristics of the behavioral objectives and criteria of wording in their teaching plans. The study also wants to know whether there are individual differences having statistical significances in the degree of being stick to these characteristics and criteria which might be due to the two changeable factors: sex and teaching experience. The paper also dealt with the common effect between these factors so as to know the characteristic and criteria where male and female teachers showed clear strengths or weakness in the degree of being stick to in their executing of the behavioral objectives. The selection of the research population included all male and female teachers of physics for intermediate stage in morning schools of the above directorate. They were 224 teachers. The sample of the study was arbitrarily chosen from the research population: 30 male and 32 females. Their schools form the most geographical area of the general directorate of education - First Karkh - Baghdad. The researcher prepared an application form of evaluation consisting 10 characteristics and criteria. Their reliability and validity were found through refereeing and by using person correlation coefficient respectively. The result was (0,86). For the purpose of analyzing data, the researcher used the t-test and the factorial design (2×2). The mean-score was calculated on the evaluation form. The results of the research revealed that the mean-score of male and female teachers was educationally less than the acceptable level (%75). The results also showed differences having statistical marker in the extent of being stick to the characteristics of the behavioral objectives and criteria of their wording. This is due to the two changeable factors: sex and teaching experience in addition to the common effect between them. The results also showed the teachers' strength of being stick to three characteristics and criteria next to clear weakness in four of them. The researcher offered some recommendations for the specialists and the educationalists responsible for teaching science for the sake of developing the science teacher and his methods of teaching. He also suggested certain studies in this field of knowledge. (Published abstract)
