هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى درجة استخدام المعلمين والمعلمات في مديرية التربية والتعليم بلواء الجامعة لمهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفة، ومعرفة هذه المهارات وأثرها في درجة التفوق والإبداع الأكاديمي للطلبة. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة؛ تم بناء مقياسين حيث اشتمل المقياس الأول على (54) فقرة لقياس درجة استخدام مهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفة للمعلمين والمعلمات، أما المقياس الآخر فقد اشتمل على (48) فقرة لقياس درجة التفوق والإبداع الأكاديمي للطلبة. اشتملت عينة الدراسة على (347) معلماً ومعلمة، تم اختيارهم عشوائياً من (62) مدرسة تحوي (1065) معلماً ومعلمة في الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الدراسي (2015-2016). بينت نتائج الدراسة أن المتوسط الحسابي لفقرات مهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفة بلغ (3.61) بدرجة (متوسطة)، والمتوسط الحسابي لفقرات درجة التفوق والإبداع الأكاديمي للطلبة بلغ (3.57) بدرجة (متوسطة)، وأشارت النتائج أيضاً إلى وجود علاقة طردية بين درجة مهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفة للمعلمين والمعلمات ودرجة التفوق والإبداع الأكاديمي للطلبة. كما أشارت النتائج أيضاً إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة، استخدام، المعلمين والمعلمات لمهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفة تعزى للمتغيرات: جنس المعلم لصالح، الذكور، والمؤهل العلمي للمعلم لصالح المؤهلات الأعلى، ورتبة المعلم لصالح الرتب الأعلى. ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة التفوق والإبداع الأكاديمي للطلبة تعزى لمتغير جنس المعلم ولصالح الإناث. وأوصت الدراسة، بأهمية، تضمين معايير درجة استخدام مهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفة تم حصرها في هذه الدراسة لتكون جزءاً أساسياً في جميع المناهج الدراسية. This study aimed at identifying the degree of teachers' using metacognition skills in the University District Education Directorate and its relationship with the degree of students’ talent and creativity. To achieve the study objectives, two measurement tools were developed: The first consisted of (54) items to measure the degree of teachers' using metacognition skills, while the second consisted of (48) items to measure the degree of students’ talent and creativity. The study sample was (347) male and female teachers randomly selected from (1065) teachers in (62) schools during the second semester of (2015- 2016). The results of the study showed that the total mean scores for the degree teachers' Using Metacognition Skills was (3.61) of a moderate degree. While the total mean scores for the degree of students’ talent and creativity was (3.57) of a moderate degree too. The results also showed a positive close relationship between the degree of teachers' using metacognition skills and the degree of students’ talent and creativity. Moreover, they revealed statistically significant differences in the degree of teachers' using metacognition skills that can be attributed to several variables such as; teacher's gender in favor of males, academic qualification in favor of high qualification and teacher rank in favor of high rank. On the other hand, there were statistically significant differences in the degree of students’ talent and creativity that can be attributed to teacher's gender in favor of females. The study recommended the importance of ensuring the overall metacognition skills that have been counted in this study to be an essential part in all school curricula. (Published abstract)
