هدفت الدراسة إلى التحقق من فاعلية القصة في تنمية مهارات التحدث لدى طالبات الصف الرابع في منطقة ذيبان، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدمت الباحثة المنهج شبه التجريبي، تكونت عينة الدراسة من (60) طالبة واستخدمت الباحثة أداتين الاختبار التحصيلي في مهارات التحدث، ودليل المعلمة القائم على استراتيجية القصة لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة. وقد أجريت لهما معاملات الصدق والثبات، وبعد تحليل البيانات إحصائياً أظهرت نتائج الدراسة فاعلية استراتيجية القصة في تنمية مهارات التحدث لدى طالبات الصف الرابع الأساسي، مقارنة بالطريقة الاعتيادية، كما توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05=α) بين متوسطات درجات المجموعتين التجريبيتين والضابطة لصالح القصة مقارنة بالطريقة الاعتيادية. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصت الدراسة بمجموعة من التوصيات كان أبرزها: تدريب معلمي اللغة العربية على استخدام استراتيجية القصة في تدريس مهارة التحدث، وذلك بناء على النتائج الإيجابية لاستراتيجية القصة في تنمية مهارات التحدث. This study aimed to verify efficiency of storytelling in developing speaking skills, and enhancing learning of 4th grade female students in the District of Dhiban in Madaba. The sample of the study consisted of 60 grade four students. The researcher used two tools to collect data, achievement test and teacher's guide, which is based on strategy of storytelling. The results of the study showed that story was efficient in developing speaking skills of 4th grade students in comparison to the conventional method. They also indicated statistically significant evidence at the level (α=0.05) between the average of the two experimental study groups and the control group in favor of the two experimental groups, which is attributed to different the strategy used. In light of the results, the study recommended to adopt training courses for Arabic language teachers in teaching speaking according to storytelling strategy. (Published abstract)
