هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن أثر برنامج قائم على التعلم البنائي في تنمية الأداء الأكاديمي وبعض مهارات التفكير الأساسية لدى التلاميذ بطيئي التعلم في المرحلة المتوسطة بدولة الكويت. تكونت عينة الدراسة من 16 تلميذة يعانون من قصور في الأداء الأكاديمي وفي بعض مهارات التفكير الأساسية، وتم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين متساويتين إحداهما تجريبية درست الموضوعات باستخدام برنامج التعلم البنائي والأخرى ضابطة درست بالطريقة التقليدية. وطبق الباحث على المجموعتين: إختبار قبلي وبعدي للأداء الأكاديمي، واختبار مهارات التفكير الأساسية، وتم إجراء المعالجة الإحصائية. أظهرت النتائج وجود فرق دال إحصائيا عند مستوى 0.01 بين متوسطي درجات المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق ألبعدي لاختبار الأداء الأكاديمي لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، كذلك وجود فرق دال إحصائيا عند مستوى 0.01 بين متوسطي درجات المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار مهارات التفكير الأساسية لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، كما أظهرت وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى 0.05 بين درجات المجموعة التجريبية في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار الأداء الأكاديمي واختبار مهارات التفكير الأساسية. The present study aims at detecting the effectiveness of the program based on constructivist learning for developing the academic performance and some of the basic thinking skills in the slow learning pupils at the intermediate school in Kuwait. The study sample consisted of 16 pupil who hare deficiencies in academic performance and some of the basic thinking skills. They were divided into two equal groups, the experimental group studied topics using constructivist learning program and the control group studied the traditional methodology. The researcher applied the pretest and the post test to the groups for academic performance, and tests the basic thinking skills, and then the statistical processing was performed. Results showed statistically significant differences at the level of 0.01 among the means of the two (experimental and control) groups in the application post test to academic performance in favor of the experimental group. It also showed statistically significant differences at the level of 0.01 among the mean scores of the two experimental and control groups in the application of post test to basic thinking skills in favor of the experimental group, as shown by the presence of statistically significant correlation at the level of 0.05 between the scores of the experimental group in the application post test academic perfor¬mance and basic thinking skills.
