A1 الدغيم، خالد بن إبراهيم A2 الحميد، سمر بنت فهد AB استهدفت الدراسة الكشف عن مستوى تضمين قيم المواطنة في كتب اللغة الإنجليزية سلسلة (We Can) للمرحلة الابتدائية في المملكة العربية السعودية. استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي "تحليل محتوى"، وتم إعداد بطاقة تحليل محتوى تضمنت قيم المواطنة التي ينبغي تضمينها في كتب اللغة الإنجليزية سلسلة (We Can) للمرحلة الابتدائية، حيث تكونت من (28) مؤشرا فرعيا موزعة على (6) مجالات رئيسة لقيم المواطنة. وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع كتب اللغة الإنجليزية سلسلة (We Can) للمرحلة الابتدائية وعددها (6) كتب، لكل صف كتابان. وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن هناك تدنيا في مستوى تضمين قيم المواطنة في كتب جميع الصفوف؛ إذ بلغ التكرار نسبة (30.4%) في كتابي الصف الرابع، و(25.8%) في كتابي الصف الخامس، و(43.6%) في كتابي الصف السادس، وأن (11) قيمة مواطنة من أصل (28) قيمة وبنسبة (39.2%) لم تُضمَّن إطلاقا في كتب اللغة الإنجليزية سلسلة (We Can) للمرحلة الابتدائية. كما أشارت النتائج إلى أنه لا يوجد فروق في مستوى تضمين قيم المواطنة تعزى إلى متغير الصف؛ إذ كانت الفروق غير دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05)، فقد أشار اختبار مربع كاي للاستقلالية إلى أن مستوى الدلالة (0.38). (الملخص المنشور) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_ar.gif AB The study aims to reveal the level of inclusion of citizenship values in the English language textbooks (We Can) series for elementary education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve this objective, the "content analysis" methodology was used. A content analysis card was designed to include (6) main areas of citizenship values, it consisted of (28) sub-indicators of citizenship values that were supposed to be included in the English language textbook series (We Can) for elementary education. The study sample consisted of all the English language textbooks (We Can) series for elementary education, which consisted of (6) textbooks, two for each class. The results of the study indicated that there is a low level of inclusion of citizenship values in the books of all grades, as the repetition rate reached (30.4%) in the fourth-grade textbooks, (25.8%) in the fifth-grade textbooks, (43.6%) in the sixth-grade textbooks. In total, (11) citizenship values out of (28) values with a percentage of (39.2%) were not included at all in the English language textbooks (We Can) series for elementary education. The results also indicated that there are not statistically significant at the level (0.05) due to the grade variable in the level of inclusion of citizenship values. In contrast, the Chi-Square Test of Independence indicated that the significance level was (0.38).
