A1 المالكي، فاطمة محمد AB This study aimed to identify the level of both mindfulness and perfectionism among the gifted and their ordinary peers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, It also investigate the relationship between mindfulness and perfectionism and to find the differences in both mindfulness and perfectionism according to the giftedness, gender (males, females) and group age (15-18) years. The study was conducted on a random sample of (300) gifted and normal people in adolescence, (200) normal and (100) gifted peers. The Baer, et al. (2004) mindfulness scale and the Front et al., (1990) multidimensional perfectionism scale translated by Mohamed (2020) was administered after verifying the psychometric properties to the Bahraini environment. The study found that there is a positive statistically significant correlation between the total score of mindfulness and the total score of perfectionism; and statistically significant differences between the scores of the ordinary peers and gifted peers, in favor of the gifted. Also, there was a statistically significant difference between the scores of gifted adolescents aged (15-16 years) and the scores of gifted adolescents aged (17-18 years), in favor of the gifted adolescents aged (17-18 years). The study indicated that females have higher levels of mindfulness and perfectionism than male adolescents. The study made some recommendations such as impeding the educational programs tools and procedures that can enhance the sense of mindfulness at different stages of education.
