A1 شمس الدين، تماضر فيصل AB The study aimed to reveal the teaching practices of Islamic education teachers for the basic stage in Zarqa Governorate. The study sample consisted of (41) male and female teachers for the basic stage in government schools in Zarqa Governorate. The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data. The study achieved several results, the most important of which are: The total score for the teaching practices of the study sample was average (73.1%), with an arithmetic mean of (3.65). The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences attributed to the gender variable and in favor of females. There were also statistically significant differences attributed to teaching experience in favor of teachers with Experience (more than 10 years), and the absence of statistically significant differences attributed to the interaction between the two variables of the study. In light of the results, the study recommended the importance of directing the attention of those in charge of teacher training programs to the need to raise teachers’ teaching competencies in preparation for improving their teaching practices.
