A1 قعقور، طلب حسين طلب A2 التل، سهير ممدوح AB The study aims to reveal the effectiveness of using the multisensory story strategy to reduce the sensory defenses of children with autism spectrum disorder. The study used a semi-experimental approach to design a single group (pre and post). The sample of the study consisted of (6) children with autism spectrum disorder aged (8-11) years with high sensitivity in Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs. The tools of the study were the two measures of sensory defenses, the home version, and sensory defenses, the classroom version, and their validity and reliability were verified, in addition to the multisensory story strategy. The results of the study showed that: The level of sensory defenses of children with autism spectrum disorder for tribal measurement/both home version scale and class version came at a high level and for both areas (hearing sense, touch sense). The level of sensory defenses of children with autism spectrum disorder for dimensional measurement/both home version scale and class version came at a low level and for both areas (hearing sense, touch sense). The researcher recommends the need to employ multisensory stories as an effective strategy in reducing sensory defenses in children with autism spectrum disorder, and to develop more such stories by specialists.
