A1 السراحين، سلمان سالم سعد A2 الجابري، محمد عبد الفتاح AB This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of a proposed training program to raise the efficiency of teachers of tenth grade students studying in Al-Amal Schools for the Deaf in providing vocational rehabilitation services in Jordan. The tenth primary students in Al-Amal Schools for the Deaf in Jordan, whose number is (54) teachers distributed according to gender to (24) males and (30) females. To achieve the purpose of the study, a measure of providing vocational rehabilitation services was built, which consisted of (37) items distributed over (5) dimensions, namely (vocational assessment services, vocational guidance and counseling services, vocational training services, vocational preparation services, and follow-up services), and distributed to the two groups. Before and after applying the program, a training program was designed consisting of (15) training sessions, the duration of each session was (35) minutes, and at the rate of (3) sessions per week, where the demographic characteristics of the study sample were described through the application of percentages and frequencies, and the averages were extracted arithmetic’s, standard deviations, analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), and the use of the t-test for correlated samples. The results of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences due to the training program among the experimental group members who were exposed to the training program compared to the control group members. The results also indicated that there were statistically significant differences (α=0.05) attributable to the training program between the post-measurement and follow-up among the experimental group members and in favor of the follow-up measurement in the dimensions (vocational assessment services, career guidance and counseling services, follow-up services, and the scale as a whole). On the success and effectiveness of the proposed program to raise the efficiency of the experimental group of teachers in providing vocational rehabilitation services. The study recommended raising the awareness of institutions and companies to provide opportunities for deaf students to be part of the work force and to provide educational guidance programs and training courses on the importance of providing vocational rehabilitation services to deaf students.
