A1 السبيعي، مها فريج هديف AB The research aimed to evaluate the content of English language curriculum Flying High for the 1st secondary grade in kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the light of CEFR standards for communicative language activities, and to offer a proposed model to develop the content. In order to conduct the objectives of this research, the researcher used the descriptive approach represented by content analysis, in that the research sample composed of Flying High English textbooks that are designed for the 1st secondary grade1st and 2nd levels-. The researcher used content analysis tool that contained (34) standards and (70) descriptors, distributed on language skills (listening, reading, spoken production, spoken interaction, writing). Findings of the study revealed that there is significant variation in the availability of CEFR standards for communicative language activities in the content, the highest percentages were for reading skill that obtained (27,3%) and spoken interaction skill that obtained (23,7%), then writing skill with good degree (20,4%), while spoken production and listening skills measured with low percentages (14,9%) & (13,7%). Depending on the findings, a proposed model was prepared to improve the content of English language curriculum FH in the light of CEFR standards for communicative language activities. In addition, the research recommended a number of recommendations, including: the need to review the content of FH English curriculum in order to give more concentration on listening skill, and the need to bring balance in the distribution of CEFR standards for communicative language activities in the content of English language curriculum at the secondary level.
