A1 حاج موسى، إخلاص محمد عبد الرحمن AB The aim of the study was to identify the level of addiction of pre-school children who watch Arab children’s TV channels, in light of revealing the differences in the degree of addiction from the viewpoint of mothers according to two variables: the tendency to imitate the heroes of the favorite programs, and the tendency to isolate themselves and live in a fantasy world. The researcher followed the descriptive and analytical approach, and used the Electronic Addiction Scale of Sayed Youssef, which was distributed via social media to a sample of 176 mothers. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program (SPSS) in data processing, was used. The following results were reached: 1) The level of addiction has clearly increased among the sample members; 2) There were statistically significant differences in the level of addiction to watching TV among preschool children according to two variables: the tendency to imitate the heroes of the favorite programs, and the tendency to isolate themselves and live in a fantasy world. The paper came out with the following recommendations: 1) The need to raise family and community awareness of the dangers of addiction to children’s satellite channels; 2) Hours for viewing should be in the presence of the parents; 3) Include the effect of TV addiction on the normal development and growth of children within the curricula of various stages; 4) Raising family awareness to the importance of diversifying the child’s activities.
