A1 اللهيبي، أميرة عوض حمود AB This study aimed to: Identify the challenges of applying e-learning in general education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the point of view of secondary school teachers in the city. The study used: the descriptive approach using the questionnaire tool as a tool for data collection. Study sample: The exploratory study sample includes: It consisted of (40) secondary school teachers in Madinah, and the basic study sample: It consisted of (63) secondary school teachers in Madinah. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which were: 1) A large percentage of teachers realize that e-learning consists in using the Internet to obtain information. 2) An average percentage of teachers believe that some of their students want to register for e-learning programs. 3) A large percentage of teachers believe that e-learning is more flexible than traditional education. 4) A small percentage of teachers believe that e-learning is better than traditional education. 5) A medium percentage of teachers believe that teachers are able to adapt to e-learning. 6) The lack of some financial capabilities available for the application of e-learning is the most important obstacle that limits the expansion of the application of the e-learning system. 7) The lack of experience of some teachers, educational supervisors and school leaders about e-learning is the basis for their avoidance of using this type of education. 8) E-learning is a manifestation of the information society resulting from the integration of modern information and communication technologies into the educational system. 9) There is no statistically significant difference between the averages of the study sample of Saudis and non-Saudis to identify the challenges of applying e-learning. 10) There is no statistically significant difference between the mean of the study sample of female teachers with experience (less than 10 years) and female teachers with experience (more than 10 years) to identify the challenges of applying e-learning.
