A1 عبد قدوري، محمد ستار A2 صادق، سالم نوري AB The current thesis aims identify (Effectiveness of Counseling Program in a Consciousness Style (Here and Now) in Reducing Self-Contradiction for Intermediate School Students), to achieve this aim through the testing of the following hypothesis: 1) There are no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the grades of the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test on the scale of self-contradiction among Intermediate school students. 2) There are no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the grades of the control group in the pre-test and post-test on the scale of self-contradiction among Intermediate school students. 3) There are no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the grades of the experimental group and the control group in the post-test on the scale of self-contradiction. The following research is determined to (Intermediate Students) Morning Studies in Governorate of Diyala Center of Baqubah District related to General Directorate of Education/ Governorate of Diyala for the academic year (2019-2020). For the purpose of testing the hypothesis of the research the researcher used the experimental method with (a design for two groups the experimental group and control group). The statistical analysis of the sample was (400 students) chosen randomly from intermediate schools at Center of Baqubah District related to General Directorate of Education/ Governorate of Diyala for the academic year (2019-2020). The researcher build a self-contradiction scale according to (Higgins Theory, 1987). In it primary form it concluded (36 items) and the researcher checked the psychometric characteristics of the scale, were its items in the final form reached (36 items). The sample for implementing the counseling program was (185) students about (89 students) from )Al-Bilathare Intermediate School) as an experimental group, and (96 students) from (Al-Intisar Intermediate School) as a control group and (20 students) have been chosen whom their grades were higher than the average mean reaching (72 degree) and were distributed deliberately on two groups (experimental and control) about (10 students) for each group. The equivalence of the groups was conducted by a number of variables: (marks of students on scale of self-contradiction, academic achievement for the father and mother, the job of father and mother, and the chronical age in months). The researcher built counseling program according to in a consciousness style (her and now) in reducing self-contradiction for the Intermediate school students according to (Gestalt, Liberiz, 1988 and Brothers Model). The program contained (11) counseling sessions, each sessions lasted for (45 minutes) about two sessions a week. The researcher used the (SPSS) program for data analysis for human and scientific sciences. The researcher reached to the following conclusions: 1) There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the grades of the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test on the scale of self-contradiction for the favor of post-test. 2) There are no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the grades of the control group in the pre-test and post-test on the scale of self-contradiction. 3) There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the grades of the experimental group and the control group in the post-test on the scale of self-contradiction for the favor of the experimental group in post-test.
