A1 الغامدي، حنان حسن سعيد A2 فرج، شذى بنت إبراهيم بن حسين AB The aim of the research is to set up a proposed conception for activating benchmarking in the scientific departments at Taif University in the light of Camp Robert Model. A descriptive survey method was used. The research was applied on research community, as its volume reached (93) of heads and deputy heads of scientific departments at Taif University. The most important results of the research were: The degree of application of benchmarking in scientific departments at Taif University in light of Camp Robert model was a high degree, where the dimensions were based on the degree of their application respectively: maturity, planning, implementation, analysis, integration, the results of the research also indicated that there are statistically significant differences about the degree of application of benchmarking in scientific departments at Taif University in light of Camp Robert model due to the gender variable and in favor of females, while there were no statistically significant differences due to the variable of academic rank, number of experience, and the number of training courses in the field of development. The most important recommendations were: Build a database for each scientific department achievements at the university to exchange experiences between scientific departments and benefit from successful experiences, the heads of scientific departments Prepare an instruction manual for a benchmarking for each scientific department, and adopt the proposed vision to activate benchmarking in the scientific departments at Taif University in light of Camp Robert model.
