A1 الحداد، فوزي عبد الله خالد A2 القحفة، أحمد عبد الله أحمد AB The article aims to identify the effectiveness of using open discussion and critical thinking methods in developing creative research skills and creativity among student-teachers. The study employs the experimental approach. The sample consists of (50) student-teachers from the third level, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Education, Arts and Sciences, Khawlan, Sana'a University. The following tools were constructed and applied: a list of critical thinking techniques and their methods, a test to measure creative research skills, and a test to measure general creativity. The results of the study show that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the means of the scores of students in the post and pre-application in the test of creative research skills as a whole, in favor of the post application, as well as for the general creativity. The results also show the effectiveness of open discussion and critical thinking methods in developing general creativity and creative research skills together, and for each of its dimensions among student teachers of Mathematics.
