A1 القطيم، أسماء بنت محمد بن عبد الله AB This study aimed to identify “the extent to which environmental security concepts included in the content of science books of the intermediate stage schools in Saudi Arabia”. The study population and sample consisted of the science books (the student's book) of all levels of the intermediate stage. The study adopted the descriptive method (content analysis) and presented a list of appropriate environmental security concepts that should include in the content of science books at the intermediate stage. The study instrument was represented by a content analysis card. The study concluded that the total frequency of environmental security concepts in the content of science books was 848 concepts as the content of the second intermediate grade book received the largest number of those concepts at a frequency rate of 52.6%, which is an average rate of inclusion. It followed by the content of the science book of the first intermediate grade at a rate of 38.1%, which is a low rate of inclusion. The end the content of the science book of the third grade at a frequency rate of 9.3%, that is a low rate of inclusion. The most included concept of environmental security in the content of books is environmental pollution, renewable energy, and recycling. On the other hand, several environmental security concepts do not include in the content of books, such as food environmental security and sustainable environmental development.
