A1 يونس، مؤمن محسن عثمان AB Mentally retarded Children suffer from a distinct lack of basic skills, especially reading and writing skills and then they need to techniques and methods of teaching special to get to the best possible use of existing skills for these kids. The Kind of Education that happens using computers, provides the child an important principle in terms of “freedom to interact” with the device by playing with it through educational programs devoted to it. The child learns through trial and error, where the child always see “skills and concepts development programs” as funny Games raises curiosity for him and drive him to reflect and practice their responses. He effectiveness of the educational games using the computer for the development of some basic skills for mild mental retardation children. The Sample of the study consisted of 20 children aged between 8 and 9 years after it has been assembled in terms of chronological age and IQ were divided into two groups: 1) Experimental group consists of 10 male children. 2) Control group consists of 10 male children. The results indicate the effectiveness of the educational games program used in the current study in the development of reading and writing skills (reading alphabets - writing alphabet - the distinction between characters similar in form and voice - read and write alphabets with " alfath" - read the words of three simple letters - Form and analyze word of two-letter and three-letter).
