A1 بدارنه، عبد الله AB The study aims at recognizing the effect of using assessment for learning in developing creative writing skills and motivation towards it to the basic fourth grade students in the United Arabs of Emirates. The study sample consists of (28) students deliberately chosen from Al Ruwais Basic School for Boys in the Al Dhafra Educational Distract in the 2nd term of 2016-2017. The students were randomly distributed into two groups (experimental and controlling). The experimental group (n=14) were taught by Using the strategies of the assessment for learning. The controlling (n=14) were taught by ordinary method, to achieve the aim of the study, three tools were designed, they are: creative thinking test for the creative story, creative thinking for the creative article, and motivation scale towards creative writing. The related behavioral signs, and the credibility and stabilized of the tools were taken into consideration. The tools were applied to the groups before and after. The study results are as the following: 1( There is an impact of developing creative thinking skills using creative story and article writing for fourth-grade students is ascribed to the evaluation for learning method. 2( There is an impact of fourth grade students’ motivation towards story and creative writing is ascribed to the assessment for learning method. In the lights of these results, the researcher recommends training Arabic teachers on the method of using assessment for learning in improving creative writing.
