A1 عبود، يسرى زكي AB The study aimed to find out the effect of using scoring scale (rubrics) to assess the performance of improving academic achievement, academic self-efficacy and self-assessment skills on female students at the Faculty of Education, King Faisal University. To achieve this goal two scoring rubrics scales were developed. The sample consisted of three groups: two experimental groups (n= 42) evaluated by the analytic/holistic scoring rubrics; and a control group (n=40) evaluated by the traditional way, an achievement test and self-efficacy scale were applied on the three groups. The result showed that there was an improvement in the achievement of female students in favor of experimental group 1 (evaluated by holistic rubrics) compared with experimental group 2 (evaluated by the analytic scoring rubrics), and the results showed that there is improvement in achievement to favor to experimental groups 1, 2 compared with the control group. The results showed that there were differences between both experimental groups and control group to the favor of the experimental groups in the academic self-efficacy; and self-assessment skills, where there were no differences between experimental group 1 and 2 in self-assessment skills.
