A1 المطيري، مطلق عيد هذال جويعد AB This study attempted to investigate the relationship between language functioning and social communication among hard of gifted children with autism spectrum disorder. In addition, it aimed at identify differences in language functioning and social communication in terms of the gender factor (male - female). The participants were (60) hard of hearing children between (9 - 12) years. To collect data, both scales of language functioning and social communication were prepared. Results indicated that there was significant positive relationship between language functioning and social communication among gifted children with autism spectrum disorder children. Also, there were statistically significant differences in language functioning and social communication attributed to gender (in favor of the female participants).
