The study sample consisted of (159) faculty members at King Khalid University, and the study found that one of the most important obstacles to the role of university leadership in developing human resources is the weak role of university leadership in educating students about the needs of labor market institutions, the weakness of the university leadership's role in encouraging professors to participate in research projects, and the weak coordination of university leadership with labor market institutions. To train and qualify its students in the workplace and the weak faculty members ’satisfaction with their participation in decision-making within the university.
