A1 عثمان، إبراهيم عثمان حسن AB This study aimed to investigate the effective of teaching geometry using the computer on the achievement of the basic 8th-grade students in Omdurman locality of geometry concepts. The study used the semi-experimental approach to design the pretest and the post test for two equal groups. Experimental (59) and control (59) male and female students in the 8th-grade in four semesters of training schools at the College of Education, University of Khartoum, and the tool was the achievement test in the geometry unit and the results were analyzed using the (SPSS) program, and the results of the study showed significant differences. A statistic at the level of significance (α≤0.05) in the overall achievement of the grades of the 8th-grade basic students in geometry, and in the four dimensions of achievement, attributable to the method of teaching and in favor of the experimental, and it was found that there is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between the average achievement of students the 8th-grade basic geometry concepts, attributed to the gender variable, in favor of females, and based on the results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals, the most important of which is the need for the Ministry of Education to hold training courses for mathematics teachers to train them in the use of computer strategy and prepare teaching plans accordingly, because these courses have a role in increasing the level of Achievement in mathematics.
