A1 حسين، حسين علي A2 صادق، سالم نوري AB In order to identify the degree of negative emotional infection of preparatory stage students, the researcher built the measurement of negative emotional infection based on the theory of Hatfield and the number of items of the scale were (20 items) and was presented to a group of experts in the field of psychological counseling, whom agreed to use and after the amendment of some items. The scale was applied to a sample of (608) for the academic year 2017-2018. They were chosen in a simple random way and extracted the psychometric characteristics (validity and stability), where the stability of the scale (0.88) achieved by alpha Cronbach and (0.72) by repeating the test and this is considered a high indicator for stability. The researcher used a number of statistical means like (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and t-test) reaching the following results: the students at preparatory stage have negative affective infection. Relying on the results of this research the researcher put a number of recommendations and suggestions.
