The study made use of a number of instruments, among which are: a Reflective Thinking Skills Inventory, an Achievement Test, a Classroom Observation Form, and a Scoring Rubric. Furthermore, the study developed a training programme, and both a training and trainee manual as a treatment material. The sample of the current study comprised 120 students of the third year, divided into one experimental group and a control group. The experiment lasted for 5 weeks. The findings revealed that there were significant differences in the achievement test between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. Moreover, there were significant differences in the teaching performance as measured by the classroom observation form and the scoring rubric between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. The study concluded with a number of recommendations and suggested some further research areas.
