A1 بوقس، نجاة عبد الله محمد AB The study aimed to determine the degree of awareness of science teachers on the education for sustainable development and its developmental requirements. By applying: the scale that measures the degree of awareness of science teachers on education for sustainable development and its requirements, based on the analysis of the nature of education for sustainable development and its requirements (built by the researcher). Propose a model for the educational program for sustainable development components and the requirements of development among the educated middle school students in jeddah province, and the study found the following results: knowledge of the proportion of science teachers (higher than the average of (77.3) for a total of correct answers; which means the enjoyment of some science teachers of some awareness of sustainable education and implementation requirements. Varying results show the responses to the terms of the degree of awareness of some of the themes of science education for sustainable development parameters and requirements of scale in both sides: cognitive and applied is clear: the split between the parameters conscious sustainable development and semi-aware of it. The presence of unequivocal about the concept of education and sustainable development and its dimensions, appeared in the proportion of low frequencies. Most of the errors were concentrated responses in the practical side of sustainable development; for example their consciousness for their role in achieving the goals and requirements of sustainable education to assure sustainability in their surrounding and its impact on the local environment, and in line with global requirements.
