A1 جاب الله، عبد الله سيد محمد AB This study aimed at exploring the possibility of the prediction of college adjustment through both emotional intelligence with all its dimensions and creativity abilities with their dimensions. The study also aimed at attempting of verifying the existence of differences between the students with high and low scores of emotional intelligence (dimensions and total score) and creativity abilities (dimensions and total score). The study also attempted to find out the relationship between college adjustment, emotional intelligence and creativity abilities, in addition to, verifying the exiatence of differences in college adjustment and its sub dimensions due to the effect of gender (male-female) and academic major (theoretical - scientific) and the reaction between them. From Assiut university 243 undergraduates participated in this study, (males = 108 (44.4%) and females = 135 (55.6%). Their ages ranged from 18-24 with a mean age = 20.46 and SD = 1.38. The results of the study showed that it was possible to predict college adjustment through both emotional intelligence and creativity abilities. The results also indicated that there were differences between the mean scores of the students with high and low emotional intelligence and creativity abilities with their sub dimensions of the college adjustment scale in the Scale of College Adjustment. Moreover, a statistically significant relationship between the scores of emotional intelligence and creative abilities with their dimensions and college adjustment scores where (P ≤ 0.01). The results indicated also that there were differences between males and females concerning their effect on college adjustment in favor of males. However, there was no significant effect of the major variable on the college adjustment. Finally, there was a statistically significant effect in the dualof the dual interaction between gender (males and females) and academic major (theoretical and scientific) on college adjustment. Recommendations were presented in the light of the results of the study.
