A1 ناجح، عبد الرحيم AB This study aimed at identifying the role of vocabulary notebooks on lexical density in learners’ written productions at the primary level. The participants were fourth, fifth and sixth grade students in the academic year 2018-2019. The students were divided into two groups, control and experimental group. Data were obtained in two phases. In the pre-treatment stage, the lexical density was measured. After 6 weeks of the first measurement, the lexical density of the written productions of both groups was measured. The experimental group had to write down the words they first encountered in their notebooks. The following results were obtained: lexical density for the first group was stabled, while it was increased by 21.34% for the experimental group.
