A1 الدوسري، خولة راشد أيوب AB The research aims to identify the difficulties of teaching the curriculum of Islamic education based on competencies for the primary stage from the point of view of the teachers of Islamic education in the State of Kuwait, and to identify the extent of these difficulties according to sex variable (gender) and variable educational qualification, and variable years of experience, and for this a questionnaire was prepared Difficulties of teaching the curriculum of Islamic education based on competencies for the primary stage in the State of Kuwait, which included (8) areas of which (137) paragraphs. The questionnaire was applied to a sample of (117) teachers of Islamic education teachers in the primary stage in the State of Kuwait. From Difficulties of teaching the curriculum of Islamic education based on competencies scheduled for primary school students in the State of Kuwait, the most prominent of which are the following: The omission of the objectives of the curriculum to introduce students to the situation of Muslim minorities in the world and the difficulty of deriving procedural objectives for the content of each lesson of the curriculum. The lack of content in the curriculum to clarify the role of Muslim scholars in the civilization progress of humanity and arming pupils with the necessary elements to address extremist intellectual currents. The absence of a guide to guide the selection of teaching strategy and educational evaluation questions appropriate for each subject of the curriculum. Overcrowded classrooms do not provide the opportunity for the use of educational techniques and means, nor does the opportunity for the teacher to follow all pupils charged with the implementation of educational activities. Not convinced teachers of Islamic education in the manner presented by the content of the curriculum, and the lack of training courses obtained by teachers in the field of modern teaching strategies. Lack of awareness of primary school students of the objectives of the curriculum desired to implement and achieve, and the low level of some of them able to read and write skills and grammar. The results also showed that the difficulties of teaching the curriculum of Islamic education based on competencies and prescribed to primary pupils in the State of Kuwait do not differ according to the sex of the teacher or educational qualification or years of experience in teaching.
