A1 القرني، نورة عوض AB This study aimed to identify degree of using the principle of knowledge economy in developing of the academic system in Shaqra University from the perspective of the faculty members. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher developed questionnaire consisted of (22) items distributed on four domains. The sample of the study consisted of (109) faculty members in Shaqra University. The results of the study showed the Arithmetic means of the study sample answers about study domains were moderate degrees, with arithmetic mean (3.29), where degree of using the principle knowledge economy in development of competencies of faculty member domain in the first rank, with high degree, and arithmetic average (3.77), and degree of using the principle knowledge economy in development of university courses domain in the last rank, with moderate degree, and arithmetic average (3.26), the study results showed also that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) between the Arithmetic means of estimates of the study sample due to variables of the study, sex , faculty and academic rank.
