A1 الأحمد، هند محمد عبد الله AB This study aimed at uncovering the theoretical underpinnings of the scientific writing skills necessary for female students of universities, identifying the scientific writing skills necessary for female students of universities as well as the ways of developing awareness of it from the point of view of the teaching staff in Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and King Saud University. The study sample included (599) staff members; (235) from Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic university and (364) from King Saud University. The researcher, for study purposes, has prepared a questionnaire, which characterized with acceptable reliability and validity. The results showed that the study sample agreed to a list of the scientific writing skills with its seven axes and the ways of developing awareness of it at a “very important level”. In terms of the relative weight of importance, the two axes of text organization skills and continuation skills came as the highest while text unity skills came as the lowest, with the recommendation to adopt the list of scientific writing skills reached by the study by decision-makers at ministry of education and universities.
