A1 عيسى، أحمد نبوي AB The aim of the research was to evaluate the performance of sign language skills of teachers of the deaf in Al Amal institutes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in different stages of education in Jeddah. It included the following questions: what are the criteria for the use of sign language for teachers of the deaf in the Al Amal institutes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? How sign language skills are employed by teachers of the deaf? The questions were answered using the descriptive analytical approach, through the following procedural steps: to review the literature and previous studies related to the skills and rules of sign language for the deaf and to extract a list of sign language skills of the deaf for the skills of the sign language divided into four axes (general life signs - signs of deaf - educational signs - religious signs) and each axis measured by a set of skills - speed of movement - placement - hand shape direction - hand palm - facial expressions). The evaluation scale was applied to 34 teachers of deaf student who monitored the results of the assessment measure to answer the research questions. The results showed a statistically significant correlation between the performance on dimensions and skill paragraphs and the overall score for all dimensions. There were no statistically significant differences in the difference between the performance averages on the axes and the overall performance on the scale of language skills. There were no significant differences between the sign language skills of teachers in terms of (knowledge of the signs - speed of movement - placement - the direction of the shape of the hand - hand palm - facial expressions) the results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the sign language skills of the teachers due to the variance of the number of years of experience. There are statistically significant differences between the sign language skills of the teachers due to the number of training courses of the sign language. There are no statistically significant differences between sign language skills teachers have to attribute to the different specialties of teachers.
